SRH vs MI VIVO IPL 2021 Match 31 Preview:

The 31st match of VIVO IPL 2021 will be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. Both the teams have played 7 games till now, out of which Sunrisers Hyderabad have won only one game while Mumbai Indians have registered victories in 4 games.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are at the bottom of the points table with only one victory to their name. The team management decided to go for a mid-season captaincy change and Kane Williamson has been appointed as the new captain of the team. With the change of captaincy, the Sunrisers Hyderabad were looking for a change in fortune in the last game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) but to no luck and the team lost yet another game due to a below-par performance in both batting and bowling departments.

After winning the toss, skipper Kane Williamson decided to bowl first and in response to this, Rajasthan Royals set a humongous total of 220 runs with the help of a magnificent century from Jos Buttler. Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, and Vijay Shankar picked one wicket each. While chasing this total, the team was decimated for 165 runs and lost the game by 55 runs.

Manish Pandey scored 31 runs, Jonny Bairstow scored 30 runs while Kane Williamson scored 20 runs. Apart from this, none other batsmen crossed the 20-run mark. The team is in a dire situation and they need to win the games from here to keep their hopes alive in the tournament.

Talking about Mumbai Indians, the team is positioned at 4th place on the points table with 4 victories to their name and is high on confidence with two back-to-back victories. In their last game against strong contender Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the team chased down a massive total. After winning the toss, skipper Rohit Sharma decided to bowl first.

In response to this, Chennai Super Kings posted a huge total of 218 runs. Kieron Pollard picked 2 wickets while Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult picked a wicket each. While chasing this total, Mumbai Indians got a good start, opener Quinton de Kock scored 38 runs while Rohit Sharma scored 35 runs at a decent rate.
