Chennai Super Kings opener Ruturaj Gaikwad, on Saturday, hit his maiden IPL hundred versus Rajasthan Royals in Abu Dhabi. He reached his landmark with a gigantic 108m six on the last ball of CSK’s innings.
The CSK opener continued to hammer runs off some indisciplined bowling by RR bowlers. At the other end, Sakariya accounted for Ambati Rayudu’s wicket.

Gaikwad hit 4,4,6 in the 16th over to Akash Singh to reach 80; he harrumphed Mustafizur for a gigantic six over mid-wicket in the 18th to enter the 90s. Ravindra Jadeja went beserk in the last over against Mustafizur: 4,6,wd,4 giving a single to Gaikwad on the fourth ball.
Gaikwad, on 95, missed the fifth ball, but walloped a maximum on the last ball to bring up his maiden IPL century as CSK finished with a mammoth total of 189.
