KL Rahul to be dropped in IND vs ENG 4th T20I? Virat Kohli gives update
KL Rahul: Indian captain Virat Kohli backed opening batsman KL Rahul to come out of his dreaded form and be the player again he is known for. Rahul’s struggles need no more spotlight. He is the most talked-about Indian player across social media these days. The Punjab Kings captain is going through his worst form as an Indian player with scores of 1, 0, 0 in his last three T20I innings.
Virat Kohli, who scored consecutive ducks against England in the fourth Test and the first T20I, called attention to his own woeful form to highlight the fact that a batsman needs only a few balls to feel confident again.
IND vs ENG 4th T20I: Batting Coach Backs KL Rahul
Indian batting coach Vikram Rathour also threw his weight behind KL Rahul calling him “a champion player,” and said that he is the best option for the opening slots in the T20s along with Rohit Sharma.
But there’s no hiding for Rahul now. At this level, the opportunities can be few and far between at best. Rahul will be under no illusion that he will be dropped for sure if he fails to turn around his form for good.
India vs England T20I: India’s Back Against The Wall
Indians had their back to the wall in the 3rd T20I match. England toyed with India’s batting at times, while bowlers failed to count when it mattered most. Even Rohit Sharma couldn’t make the desired impact managing only 15 runs off 17 balls.
India will go into the fourth T20I match set to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Thursday evening, in a must-win situation.
