Gulf airline giant Etihad Airways has been named as the official sponsor of the joint-most successful Indian Premier League franchise and five-time winners Chennai Super Kings. Etihad Airways on Thursday signed an agreement with CSK management and the partnership will cover the CSK’s events and platforms and also cover its logo in the players’ jerseys.

He said, “So, the investment that we are announcing today is about CSK. Cricket is a huge part of this country and deepening that relationship for us is super important.”
Arik De further added that Etihad will unravel its partnership with Chennai Super Kings like a Bollywood movie. De further added that the airline company will have a presence at the Chidambaram Stadium as a hospitality service and at the end explained the main reason behind the partnership with CSK. He stated that CSK has won five IPL titles whereas Eithad has won the best airline award on five occasions, which was the main reason for choosing CSK.
He said, “It is going to be a pretty deep partnership and we are going to unravel it slowly like a nice Bollywood movie unravelled itself,” De said. In the initial part, we are going to have a visibility in the stadium through a hospitality suite. We’re going to be the sponsors for the T-shirt (and) the back of the T-shirt. So that’s what how we going to kick it of.”
