England and Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Harry Brook recently revealed that it has been an amazing experience for him to be playing in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The 24-year-old was roped in by Hyderabad at the 2023 auction for INR 13.25 crore. Brook, coming off excellent performances for England, scored the first century of the ongoing T20 carnival as well.
“I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. Hyderabad is a really nice part of the world, but obviously it’s a different culture. It’s chaos, to be honest: there are tuk-tuks everywhere, so trying to cross the road takes half an hour if you don’t just force your way through,” Harry Brook told ESPNcricinfo.
I didn’t come here with any expectations: Harry Brook
“One thing which has really caught my eye is the amount of cameras around. People are videoing you and taking photos nonstop. At training, especially, you go into the nets, and there’s a camera somewhere. I didn’t come here with any expectations, but I noticed that very quickly,” Brook said.
“I’d have liked to have done a little bit better. I had that one good innings [against KKR], but I haven’t really done anything else. That has been frustrating, but hopefully I can turn that around in the second half of the competition,” he said.
