As the excitement builds for the T20 World Cup 2024, co-hosts USA have revealed their squad for the highly anticipated tournament set to commence on June 1. The announcement came today, outlining a mix of experienced campaigners and promising talents set to represent the nation on the global stage.
Monank Patel to continue captaincy, Aaron Jones named deputy
Monank Patel has retained his position as captain of the USA squad for the T20 World Cup, with Aaron Jones appointed as his deputy. Patel’s leadership and experience will be crucial for the team’s performance in the tournament.
“USA Cricket (USAC) five member Men’s National Selection Panel has picked its 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup. The tournament, set to commence on June 1 and jointly hosted by the USA and West Indies, will see Monank Patel lead the team once again. The same squad will also play against Bangladesh in Houston, Texas for the three T20Is bilateral matches ahead of the World Cup,” read the statement from USA cricket.
