Ahead of Asia Cup Final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Captain of Sri Lanka Team Dasun Shanaka said that the team is very excited to play in the finals and this is the best Asia Cup Tournament in Srilankan Cricket history.
Sri Lanka and Pakistan will play final of Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai on Sunday. “As a team, we are very excited to play the final, and Pakistan is a very good team, all the matches have been nailbiters and we are looking forward to the final,” said Shanaka to the media ahead of the final.
“As a tournament, looking back, this has been one of the best Asia Cups we have had, and we are looking forward to the final,” he added.
Sri Lanka has won the Asia Cup tournament five times. In 1986, 1997, 2004, 2008, and 2014.
They are second most successful team in the tournament history next to India, who has won seven championships.
Sri Lankan Team performed really very well throughout the tournament.
They won 4 matches in the row to enter the finals.
It will be intresting battle between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Sri Lanka are the host and they are going through a though pace due to Economic Crisis in the country. It will be emotional moment for all the players and supporters that there team is performing well in tournament.
