Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer explained that the pressure will be double if India makes into the finals by defeating England in the T20 World Cup 2022 Semi final. The first semi-final took place at the SCG between New Zealand and Pakistan where Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets to make into the finale after 13 years.
“They are different kinds of pressure. In a final, the India-Pakistan game pressure comes down and it is a different kind of pressure. We all felt pressure at the previous encounter at the MCG but in a final, it becomes more than twice. From Pakistan’s point of view, they would want England obviously but there is nothing like an India-Pakistan final,” Jaffer told on BatBricks7 presents ‘Run Ki Runneeti show’ on CricTracker.
“Any team that plays Pakistan as far as I know will be a worried team, but India has to win their upcoming game first as England is not a pushover. This is a semi-final and England has got a very balanced side. India doesn’t need to look too far ahead, and first have to win the England clash, then we will see what happens on 13th,” he added.
