Indian Captain Rohit Sharma talks about playing a fearless brand of cricket ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022. Team India has been playing an aggressive brand of cricket for the last year.
“I have started to take a lot of risks without worrying about the result, which I think is a good way to play this kind of format. And yes it is something that our team is also trying to do because you know this is a kind of format where there is a risk. But there are literally higher rewards as well. You got to be brave enough to take those risks and certainly, we will be prepared to do that as well. I think that is my understanding from 2007 to 2022. A lot of things have changed obviously but yeah it has been good to see the game evolve over all these years,” said India skipper ahead of the T20 World Cup in a press conference.

“I didn’t have much understanding in 2007 as to what it was until we ended up winning the World Cup. Didn’t have much responsibility back then. Teams have become fearless and we are also looking to adopt the same approach. 140 used to be a winning total back then but these days teams aim to reach there in 14-15 overs. That’s how the game has evolved since then,” said the Indian captain in the press conference.
