India’s star middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav breaks Shikhar Dhawan’s record of most T20I runs for India in one calendar year.
Shikhar Dhawan has scored 689 runs during 2018 at an average of 40.52 and with strike rate of 147.22 in 18 matches.
Suryakumar required only eight runs to break this record ahead of the first T20I against South Africa in Thiruvananthapuram and he achieved this record with a six.
He has scored 926 runs in 31 T20Is with an average of 37.04, and strike rate of 174.71 and he also had a century in this format and had 7 half centuries.
