Suryakumar Yadav shattered the massive record of Glenn Maxwell and Aaron Finch in the T20Is. The stand-in skipper of the Indian Cricket Team became the fastest batter to score 2000 runs in the shortest format of the game in terms of balls faced.
Suryakumar Yadav achieved the feat in the ongoing second T20I against South Africa. The game between the two teams is taking place at St George’s Park in Gqeberha. The Indian captain has been magnificent so far with the bat in the game and has played some breathtaking shots.
Suryakumar came to bat when India lost both the openers Yashasvi Jaiswal Shubman Gill for ducks. The batter came out with positive intent and took the attack to the bowlers right from the start. He looked unfazed by the wickets falling at the other end and played lofted shots.
