On top of that, Suresh Raina is the leading run-scorer for Chennai Super Kings. Nonetheless, the four-time IPL champions released their talismanic run-scorer ahead of the mega IPL 2022 auction.

The fans took to social media and expressed their frustration after Mr IPL went unsold at the auction. However, Raina made a large section of the fans happy when he signed up at the auction as a Hindi commentator.
He made his commentary debut in this season as even former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri joined him. Raina is expected to continue to commentate for the game throughout the season.
Raina has earlier announced his retirement from international cricket in late August 15, 2020. After that, he didn’t feature in the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League.
The southpaw turned up for the fourteenth edition but failed to live up to the expectations. He was released from the squad ahead of the IPL 2022 season.
