Colin Munro is fresh from scoring an unbeaten 36-ball 90 in the United’s last match.
Multan Sultans, in their previous game, beat the Karachi Kings after posting a decent total on the board. Khushdil Shah and Rilee Rossouw’s 44 guided them to 176 after which the bowlers did the job.
Imran Tahir was the standout bowler as he managed to put the brakes in the middle overs. Imran Khan also chipped in with three crucial wickets. However, Mohammad Rizwan and Co still have plenty of work to do if they have to make the next round.
With two wins from six matches and a net run rate of -0.099, the Sultans are placed fifth in the points table and need to climb up the ladder. Their next match is against the Peshawar Zalmi on Sunday, June 13 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
