During GT’s run chase of 190, they needed 19 runs off the final over entrusted to Odean Smith by PBKS skipper, Mayank Agarwal. So far, Odean has had a terrible time with the ball in the IPL 2022 season.
In any case, PBKS was out of options and Odean was the only choice. At the other end were Tewatia and David Miller, the latter who was fair included in a run-out of the captain, Hardik Pandya.
On any given day, it is pretty impossible, especially at the highest level of the game. However, Tewatia was in no mood to go through just another day and he made another West Indian bowler for Punjab Kings (PBKS) his victim.
He smashed the ultimate two slot balls over profound mid-wicket to seal GT’s 3rd win on the trot and set up his credentials as a legitimate finisher within the shortest format of the game.
