MS Dhoni to Be Next Seen in Action Against the Delhi Capitals
MS Dhoni‘s late entry into the batting order sparked strong reactions from fans and former players, with many questioning the decision. The 43-year-old batted lower down the order, at No. 7 or 8, for most of IPL 2024. Critics said that he shouldn’t play as a wicketkeeper if his body can no longer keep up.
Chennai Super Kings are looking to bounce back after suffering two consecutive losses. CSK is seventh in the points table with two points from three matches. CSK has only managed to reach the Top 4 once in the past three seasons.
Dhoni will be seen in action during the match against Delhi Capitals (DC) at Chepauk on April 5. This next match is an afternoon fixture, set to begin at 3:30 PM IST at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma’s Performances in IPL 2025 Season
Virat Kohli will next take the field against the Gujarat Titans at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 2. Kohli had a strong start to the season with a quick half-century against Kolkata Knight Riders, but scored just 31 off 30 balls against CSK. RCB has had a positive start with two back-to-back wins.
On the other hand, Rohit Sharma‘s form remains a concern. Rohit struggled once again, despite Mumbai Indians securing their first win of the season. Chasing a target of 117, he managed just 13 runs off 12 balls before being dismissed. He failed to capitalize on the opportunity to get some runs and regain form.
Rohit was dismissed for a duck against CSK and scored only eight runs against Gujarat Titans. It’s uncertain whether they will continue to back him or explore other options in the lineup.
