Indian opening batsman KL Rahul, Australian pace bowling all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and uncapped Indian leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi are all set to join the new Lucknow franchise for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
According to the reports of ESPNcricinfo, KL Rahul has been paid INR 15 crore, Marcus Stoinis has been paid INR 11 crore and Ravi Bishnoi has been paid INR 4 crore, which means the Lucknow franchise will enter the IPL 2022 mega auction with a purse of INR 60 crore.
Star Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has also been picked by the franchise ahead of the auction. Stoinis was released by the Delhi Capitals (DC) franchise ahead of the IPL 2022 as they retained Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Anrich Nortje and Axar Patel.
Stoinis started his IPL career with the Delhi franchise in 2015 and then he was also part of the Punjab franchise and Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Lucknow franchise will be his 4th IPL team.
