India Captain Rohit Sharma said that it has been a long time since Team India won a World Cup and now they are aiming to win the T20 World Cup to end the drought.
Rohit Sharma led Team India to tick all the boxes ahead of T20 World Cup but just their Death Bowling is a concern. But with Mohmmad Shami bowling an excellent over against Australia in the warm-up game now Rohit Sharma’s headache is likely to solve.
Obviously, the motive and the whole thought process is to win the World Cup: Rohit Sharma
“It’s been a while since we have won the World Cup. Obviously, the motive and the whole thought process is to win the World Cup but we know we need to do a lot of things right to get there. So one step at a time for us. We can’t think too far ahead; you can’t think about semis and finals from now onwards. You just need to focus on each team you come against and try and do your best to prepare for that. Our focus will be to prepare well against each team and make sure that we move in the right direction,” said Rohit while speaking in an interview posted on the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) website.
Men in Blue will take on their arch-rivals Pakistan on 23rd October at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
