Mumbai Indians’ Director of Cricket, Zaheer Khan has showered praises on captain Rohit Sharma for the way he went about his business in the Indian Premier League.

Zaheer Khan, who is part of MI franchise has revealed the reason behind Rohit Sharma’s success as captain in the IPL. The former Indian fast bowler has highlighted that Mumbai Indians largely benefitted from Rohit’s inputs over the years.
This is precisely the reason why Mumbai Indians became the most successful franchise in the tournament. During a conversation with Sportstar, Zaheer echoed that Rohit spends time with all the players in the team.
This has helped the players get the best out of themselves in the competition. Rohit has given enough freedom to the players to showcase their mettle and the formula has paid off.
Zaheer Khan praised Rohit Sharma calling him a player’s captain. Mumbai Indians won their first title in IPL 2013 season by beating Chennai Super Kings in the final. They went on to beat the same opponent in IPL 2015 season to win their second title.
Mumbai Indians once again bolted horns with CSK in IPL 2019 final and went on to win their fourth title. MI won their fifth title by beating Delhi Capitals in IPL 2020 season.
