The Royal Challengers Bangalore are an Indian Premier League franchise cricket team headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka. United Spirits launched it in 2008 and named it after the company’s liquor brand Royal Challenge. The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium has been the home of the team since its foundation.
On March 27, at 7.30 p.m., Royal Challengers Bangalore will begin their IPL 2022 campaign against Punjab Kings. The franchise will make every effort to capture the league title for the first time in its existence. They will meet Gujarat Titans in their final league game.
Faf du Plessis is set to be named the new captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2022 season. The position of captain has been left vacant by Virat Kohli’s decision to stand out after the IPL 2021 season. Glenn Maxwell was the favourite to replace him, but the RCB chose Du Plessis instead.
