The final two T20 matches between the Indian cricket team and the West Indies in the United States are in doubt since Cricket West Indies (CWI) is likely to host the games in Caribbean due to visa complications.
The members of both sides have not yet recieved their US visas, according to a source in “cricbuzz.com,” forcing CWI to make a backup strategy.
The last two matches of 5 Match T20I series were scheduled to take place at Central Broward Park in Lauderhill, Florida on August 6 and 7, but according to the report, many players from the Indian and West Indies teams still do not have their US travel documents.
“Having the games in the Caribbean is not unlikely. But efforts made to resolve the visa issue,” a source in West Indies cricket.
“The initial information that the players would handed the US travel documents in St Kitts. There the teams have arrived. But there’s a chance that the players may have to travel back to Trinidad for the visa documents. And from there to the US if they obtain the all-clear.”
“There are options being explored. While we continue to pursue the possibilities of receiving the outstanding visas,” CWI president Ricky Skerritt told the website
India is currently leading the series with 1-0 as they won first T20I & the 2nd game will be played on 1st August, Monday.
