Indian Cricket Team is all set to play a challenging ODI Series against Bangladesh starting from 04th December (Sunday). India would be eager to make a mark as last time in 2015, they had lost the ODI Series by 2-1 under the captaincy of legendary MS Dhoni.
Bangladeshi Tigers have dealt with a massive blow as their skipper Tamim Iqbal has been ruled out of the ODIs. The senior batters: Shakib & Rahim will have to make sure that they play long and effective innings as now the batting line up looks a bit fragile.
Saba Karim on Washington Sundar
Former Selector Saba Karim was having an interaction with IANS and was asked about Washington Sundar. “I would still stick at number seven for Washi (Washington) Sundar because I look at him as a bowling all-rounder, he can be a wonderful asset for the Indian side. That really lengthens the batting and helps the team to go hard in the middle overs knowing that you have Washington Sundar coming at number seven or eight, depending upon the team’s composition.” said Saba Karim.
“I look at him as a viable alternative as a batting all-rounder. On one hand, you have Hardik Pandya, who is a batting all-rounder and can bowl seam-up. I then look at Shahbaz Ahmed as a batting all-rounder who can bowl left-arm spin.” he added.
