India have faced a massive injury scare ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. As per the reports in the Times of India, it is learned that the keeper-batter faced a knee injury during the training session ahead of the team’s first game in the tournament against Bangladesh.
India National Cricket Team reached Dubai for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on Saturday (15th February). The Rohit Sharma-led side didn’t waste much time as they started their training from the very next day. The team put in hard yards at the ICC Academy on Sunday (16th February).

However, the first training session didn’t go the way they would’ve wanted as there was an injury scare in the camp. Keeper-batter Rishabh Pant was hit on the knees by all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who was batting in the nets. The ball hit him straight on the left knee and he looked in immense pain.
Rishabh Pant was seen getting medical attention and even Hardik Pandya, who looked concerned, left the nets and went straight to check the keeper-batter. The Southpaw was down on the ground with physios using the ice pack on his injured knee.

Thankfully for him, the ball hit him on the right knee, which got him injured during the horrible accident that he faced. The batter was out of action for more than one year and recently made a comeback for the India National Cricket Team during the T20 World Cup 2024.
