Indian Star All Rounder Hardik Pandya said after Winning the 5th T20I game and T20 Series against West Indies that he is willing to take on the full time Captaincy role of Team India.
India won the 5th T20I match by 88 Runs against West Indies at Lauderhill, Florida and Wins the series by 4-1. Hardik Pandya Leads the Indian Team as regular Skipper Rohit Sharma was rested.
Pandya said it was a “very special feeling” to captain India. And when asked whether he was keen on the role in the future, the 28-year-old added: “Yeah, why not?
“If given a chance, I’ll be more than happy to do it. But for now, we have a World Cup coming, it’s about getting better as a team.”
Hardik Pandya recently done really very well as Captain and showed his skills as a Leader. He led Gujarat Titans in their Inaugural edition of Indian Premier League and GT have won the Maiden IPL Trophy under Hardik Pandya. Hardik Pandya also led Team India in 2 Match T20I series against Ireland where they completed Cleansweep.
Skipper Rohit Sharma also told the new skipper used by Team India in last few months.
“I know it’s very exciting to create so many leaders around the team… And you want the guys to handle the pressure, who understand the game and know each other really well,” Rohit told broadcaster Star Sports.
