In the first T20I game New Zealand defeated Scotland by 68 runs on 27th July in Edinburgh. Finn Allen and Ish Sodhi both Star as they help to win the game.
Finn Allen’s 101, his first T20 hundred, helped New Zealand to put 225-5 total on the Board. The openers Martin Guptill and Finn Allen had an opening wicket partnership of 85 runs (40).
Leg-break bowler Sodhi took a career best 4-28 from his four overs in the Scotland’s chase while fellow spinner Mitchell Santner, the captain of New Zealand bowled a spell of 2-23 as Scotland were restricted to 157-8 in their 20 overs.
As New Zealand took a 1-0 lead in this two-match series. Calum MacLeod is the leading scorer of the Scotland’s innings with 33 runs.
Scotland played its inaugural game on Wednesday after a stinging investigation revealed. That the national governing body, Cricket Scotland, was “institutionally discriminatory.”
The national funding organisation, sportscotland, requested the report last year. After Scotland’s all-time leading wicket-taker Majid Haq.
