By Winning the toss, Nabi Decided to Bowl first. Sri Lanka lose their half of side in 10 overs as Fazhal haq Farooqi shines with the Bowl.
Pathum Nisanka, Mendis and Charith Aslanka dismissed cheaply and Gunathilka scored 17 runs.
Gunathilka and Rajapaksa added 44 runs for fourth wicket.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 39 runs from 28 balls.
Thanks to Chamika Karunaratne’s 31 which helps Sri Lanka to reach 105 in 19.4 overs.
By Chasing Just 106 Afganistan off to a fiery start. Openers Zazai and Gurbaz was in hurry. They smashed Sri Lankan bowlers all around the park. They added 83 Runs for opening Wicket. Gurbaz scored 40 from just 18 balls. Zazai scored Unbeaten 37* and Afganistan chased down the target in just 10.1 overs by loosing just 2 Wickets one to Hasaranga and one was by runout.
Afganistan started their Asia Cup campaign with a huge victory which will boost their net run rate as well as confidence.
