Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya shared a clear objective for the five-match series – preparation and planning for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
“That was the whole plan for this tour as well. We might be coming here to play the World Cup. Some players might get a chance to play here. By the time we come here next time, we’ll be prepared,” says a confident Hardik before the first match, as quoted by India Today.
His statements suggest that the selection panel might give new talents a chance to shine, thereby testing the strength of the bench and expanding their horizons.
“I believe in keeping things simple and focusing on improvement. Losses and failures are part of the journey, and I’m okay with that. It’s about pushing ourselves,” he added.
