Cricket Australia Introduced a New Draft System for Big Bash League. The Teams will now select Minimum of two and Maximum of three overseas Players from the Draft List. The Draft system is only for Overseas Players, domestic players will be contacted in the same way they always are.
There is four Categories Introduced by CA
Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. And the. payers have rights to decide their category like Gold, Silver or Bronze but it depends on their availability for the season and the Platinum Players will be decided by BBL. There will 14 games in the BBL season as usual.
Salaries:
Platinum:-$AUD340,000
Gold:-$AUD260,000
Silver:-$AUD175,000
Bronze:-$AUD100,000
After Picking 2 or 3 Overseas Draft Picks Teams can be contracted 4 Replacement Players if any of the Drafted Player got Injured. But the Replacement Players should be in the draft list. Teams will pay $50,000 for a Replacement Player.
There will be 18 Members Squad for the Teams with 15 domestic Players and 3 Overseas.
There is Possibility that Australian International Players will be Available for the large portion of the Tournament. Australian Limited overs specialist are likely to Available for the first half of the season and could be there throughout if the three match ODI series against South Africa scheduled for 12-17 January does not go ahead.

David Warner, Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Cameron Green.
