The first-ever Women’s Premier League (WPL) provided an ideal platform for uncapped taletns to exhibit their abilities. Humaira Kazi was one of the cricketers who took advantage of the large stage to demonstrate her abilities while representing the eventual champions Mumbai Indians.
“I think what I have learned personally from a player like Nat, from a player like Amelia is to back yourself, back your strength in any situation. I mean if you see the Eliminator, you could see Nat performing and scoring a 31-ball 72 runs, and in the final, she scored a 50-ball 51. So in the final, the situation was different but still she backed herself. She knew she was the one who could take the team through the line. so that’s something that I’ve learned personally that you have to back yourself in any situation,” Humaira said.
“And I think for me, learning from this WPL is very important going forward in the domestic season or the camp that I’m going to be part of,” the 29-year-old added.
