As Regular Skipper Meg Lanning will miss the 5 match T20I series against India due to her break from Cricket, Vice Captain of the Team Alyssa Healy named as Skipper for India Tour with All Rounder Tahlia Mcgharth named as her deputy.
Former Ireland all-rounder Kim Garth and uncapped teenage Phoebe Litchfield have been included in the Australian squad for the next month’s T20I series in India.
“[Kim has] been in our thinking, she’s had a couple of strong seasons with the ball and adds extra depth to our pace-bowling stocks. She’s a new-ball option but has a great change of pace as well,” national selector Shawn Flegler said as quoted by ESPNCricinfo.
