DC Captain Rishabh Pant was extremely satisfied with the batting unit after they put on a clinical display against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Brabourne Stadium on Thursday.
“There is always room for improvement, but it’s close to a perfect game for us as a batting unit. I was calm about myself. In high chases, the other team needs 10-12 runs per over, it’s difficult to hit till the 20th over.”
“I was telling the bowlers to be calm. (On Warner) The way he batted, the way he paced the innings, it’s one of the best innings,” Pant was quoted as saying at the post-match presentation ceremony.
“We backed Powell and he’s coming out with flying colours now” – Rishabh Pant
Rishabh Pant also showered laud on Powell, who given the perfect thrive after Warner’s knock. From 18 runs off 16 balls to 67 off 35, Powell changed the complexion of the game and helped DC cross the 200-run mark.
