Ravindra Jadeja-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won by 3 wickets against Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 33rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai, on Thursday, April 21.
We were very tense the way the game was going – Ravindra Jadeja
During the post-match presentation, Ravindra Jadeja said that the Chennai Super Kings squad was in a very tense mood during the match. He added that they knew they had a chance to win the match as “great finisher” MS Dhoni was batting out in middle. He asserted:
“We were very tense the way the game was going. But the great finisher of the game was still there, so we knew we had a chance. He’s still here and doing it for us.”
Ravindra Jadeja showered praise on left-arm pacer Mukesh Choudhary for his brilliant performance. He said:
“Yes, he (Mukesh) has bowled well up front and done well for us in the powerplay. If you aren’t winning games, you still want to become.”
Ravindra Jadeja also spoke about him dropping a few catches in the match. He said:
“(On him dropping catches) It happens, that’s why I never take fielding for granted and practise hard. We need to work on our fielding, can’t afford to drop catches.”
