Social Media friendly Banters are quite common during the time of IPL. Well, the friendly banter often takes place between the franchise participants. In the end, it’s all fun and nothing serious. Hence, such was the scene between LSG and RCB.
IPL 2022: LSG banters RCB calling ‘Beta’
As we are into this new social media world, where people meet digitally more often than in person, caused a little chaos recently. The incident took place first before the game between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore was about to start.
What Lucknow Super Giants media handler did was, they posted a graphic picture of their playing XI with the caption, ‘Pesh hai Aaj ke playing XI, RCB Beta, Tumse Na ho paega!
They actually called RCB their beta (Son) which is like a saying when you try to degrade or put down someone but within limits.
IPL 2022: Former Indian Cricketer asks LSG to make amends
The former Indian Cricketer happens to be Ganesh Dodda. In reply to LSGs Instagram post, Ganesh Dodda took things to Twitter, criticizing LSGs troll for RCB and asking them to make amends.
Doddas’ tweet reads Friendly banters are always welcome in cricket. But trolling is not done. A new team calling a team that’s been part of IPL since 2008, Beta, is not banter. Kindly make amends, @LucknowIPL #DoddaMathu #RCB #LSG #CricketTwitter
Besides, One of the RCB fans also took an offence at LSGs post. Under the comment section of the same post, the user wrote: “Tera bap hai RCB”, to which the official Instagram account of LSG responded, “Baap re, 2 wickets already Gaye, Ab kya karoge Sahaab?”
IPL 2022: The friendly banter continues
Guess what? RCB didn’t take any offence in LSGs post and fired back at them with a much more powerful reply. Royal Challengers Bangalore tweeted a scene from a popular south Indian movie, ‘K.G.F’.
The dialogue of that particular scene reads, ‘If you’re Bad, I’m your Dad’. Yes, RCB gave LSG the taste of their own medicine.
