Just days ahead of the Indian Premier League 2022 season, a video featuring Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been doing the rounds on social media channels.
The short video clip’s duration is only four seconds where MS Dhoni clearly says, “Job done”. Commentator Simon Doull was too listened saying, “MS Dhoni well spoken”.
The video clip has been doing the rounds soon after MS Dhoni ventured down as Chennai Super Rulers captain just days ahead of the CSK’s campaign. His sudden declaration shocked the cricket crew.
Ravindra Jadeja will be leading Chennai Super Kings from the front for the next season. However, MS Dhoni will still contribute to the four-time IPL champions as a wicketkeeper-batsman.
At that time, CSK players and staff were seen celebrating the success. It was at that time, MS Dhoni said ‘job done’ as he had tears in his eyes. The video has gone viral in no time.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings’ franchise had confirmed the development on their website. The franchise added that “MS Dhoni will continue to represent Chennai Super Kings this season and beyond”.
Speaking to ESPNcricinfo, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan added that MS Dhoni wanted the leadership transition to be smooth. Dhoni also felt that Ravindra Jadeja was set to take up the mantle from Dhoni.
“MS was thinking about it. He felt it is the right time to hand over captaincy to Jaddu [Jadeja]. He feels Jaddu is also in prime form of his career and it is the ideal time for him lead CSK. What will be good for the franchise must be [in the] back of his mind,” Viswanathan said.
