Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah showcased his class once again within the moment innings of Day 3 of the Bengaluru Test as he knocked over the Sri Lankan captain, Dimuth Karunaratne, with a shocking delivery.
On a surface that has offered a lot for the spin bowlers, Bumrah had taken a five-wicket haul in the first innings. He had an immediate impact in the second essay as well, knocking over Lahiru Thirimanne for a duck.
In the end, it needed a special delivery from Bumrah to knock over Karunaratne. Coming in from around the wicket, Bumrah dished out a full delivery with serious pace which sneaked through the bat-pad gap and crashed into the middle stump.
The Sri Lankan captain is only the third from his country to score a century in India while leading the side. His knock showed that batting wasn’t impossible if the right temperament is adopted.
