India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja continues his superb form with the bat in home Tests as he notched up his 17th Test fifty on Thursday in the Kanpur Test against New Zealand. And, as usual, the left-hander celebrated the landmark with his famous sword celebration.
After taking a single to mid-off off Tim Southee in the 83rd over of the day, Ravindra Jadeja completed his fifty from 100 balls.
The southpaw got a round of applause from the Indian camp and the crowd. He celebrated this occasion by twirling his willow like a warrior as the fans jumped in joy and excitement.

The host camp would be much relieved at the end of Day 1 at the score of 258/4 after being 145/4 at one stage.
Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and elected to bat first. The new opening pair of Mayank Agarwal and Shubman Gill found it difficult to negate the high-class swing bowling of Tim Southee and Kyle Jamieson.
Jamieson swung the ball hoops both in-swing and out-swing before he finally had Agarwal for 13, the batsman nicking to wicketkeeper Tom Blundell.
Gill then unfurled his range: he cut, drove, flicked, and also slammed Patel for a straight six. Gill raised his fifty before lunch. However, in the first over of the second session, Jamieson bowled Gill with a sharp in-seamer which breached Gill’s defence and took an inside edge on its way to uprooting two stumps.
