Indian Ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah is set to be out of action for 4-6 months in order to recover from his injury.
Big Blow for team India ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022 as ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the mega ICC event next month due to a back stress fracture injury. Bumrah had missed the first T20I against South Africa at the Greenfield Stadium after suffering with back pain during the practice session.
“Jasprit Bumrah complained of back pain during India’s practice session on Tuesday. The BCCI Medical Team assessed him. He is ruled out of the first #INDvSA T20I,” BCCI had earlier posted ahead of the first T2OI against South Africa on Twitter.
Bumrah’s absence will be big worry for Team India, India already suffering with weak death bowling and missing Bumrah will be huge blow, India will definitely miss his excellent skillset and match Winning ability.
Earlier, Jasprit Bumrah also missed Asia Cup 2022 due to back injury.
Jasprit Bumrah to be out of action for 4-6 months
The likely replacement for Bumrah in the T20 World Cup 2022 squad is expected to be Mohammed Shami or Mahammad Siraj, Shami tested negative for Covid-19 recently. His experience will help India to Strengthen their bowling lineup. Shami hasn’t played a T20I since the last edition of the T20 World Cup. Shami was named in the standbys list of ICC T20 World Cup squad.
According to Reports, Mahammad Siraj will replace Bumrah in 2nd and 3rd T20I against South Africa.
Earlier Indian Star All Rounder Ravindra Jadeja also ruled out of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 due to knee injury.
