Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s form ahead of the T20 World Cup is a huge concern for the team Indian.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar conceded 21 Runs in 18th over against Australia in the Decider match.
Former Australian Batter Matthew Hayden believes that there’s no reason to worry as he’s only tired and needs some rest to do better with the bowl.
He gives Virat Kohli’s example, as Star Batter took rest before Asia Cup 2022 to get back his momentum and as result Virat Kohli regained his form.
“I think he looks tired and fast bowlers are allowed to get tired. We have seen Virat Kohli’s example, he has had a couple of breaks. That can make all the difference. If a fast bowler is tired, it means that his energy is not there in the ball. I am sure he will be fine. You have got Bumrah back now, I think that combination is going to be key,” Hayden told other fellow broadcasters during the final T20I between India and Australia.
Captain Rohit Sharma isn’t worried about this at the moment as he wants to give Bumrah and Harshal some time in the middle after their recoveries from injuries. He also backed Bhuvneshwar Kumar after poor death bowling.
“With Bhuvi, it’s important that we give him that space because when you have a guy like him in the team and the quality that he brings, we know that he’s had more good days and bad days,” said the captain after winning the bilateral series against Australia.
