Chennai Super Kings have signed former South African skipper Faf Du Plessis as their Marquee Players for the Inaugural edition of South Africa T20 league.
Faf Du Plessis was the member for CSK Team from 2011 to 2021 in Indian Premier League and in IPL 2022 He played for Royal Challenges Banglore and Captained the Team.
The new Six Teams Legaye has Option to Pre-Sign Five Players of Group and now the acquisition period ended on Wednesday, 11 August.
All the six Teams in New CSA T20 League has been purchased by IPL Teams Owners.
The maiden seaoan of CSA T20 League is set to take place in January – February 2023.
Mumbai Indians will have Cape Town base Franchise, Chennai Super Kings will took Johannesburg based Franchise, Pretoria based Franchise took by Delhi Capitals, Durban by Lucknow Super Giants, Port Elizabeth by Sunrisers Hyderabad and Paarl by Rajasthan Royals.
According to Cricbuzz, the English all-rounder Mooen Ali is reportedly signed by CSK-owned Johannesburg Franchise as First Overseas Player.
Ali, who plays for CSK in the IPL, was also on the UAE League’s list of marquee players (ILT20).
However, the Cricbuzz article claims that he chose the T20 event in South Africa over the ILT20. That will also take place in January and February of 2023.
