Former Indian Captain is Struggling with his form. Virat Kohli took a short break from cricket as he reportedly made himself unavailable for West Indies White Ball Series. Virat Kohli is currently in UK with his family and avoiding Cricket Relating Activities for a Month.
Virat Kohli decided to skip West Indies series and spending some quality time with his family in London. He is also joined by his mother Saroj Kohli. They move to an undisclosed location in London to complete the break.
He is expected to make a Comeback in Asia Cup. He is likely to start his practice from 1st August for Asia Cup but BCCI Selectors came up with a Statement.
Selectors wants Virat Kohli to play 3 Match ODI series against Zimbabwe to regain his lost form before Asia Cup and more importantly T20 World Cup 2022. However, The decision will be taken only close to the series. The series will start from 18th July.
“Hopefully, the break allows him to rejuvenate mentally and get his form back. But without any competitive cricket, it will be difficult and that is why we want him to play against Zimbabwe. It’s his preferred format and will help him regain his form before the Asia Cup. We will take a final decision close to the selection,” a member of the selection committee told InsideSport.
