The BCCI on Thursday announced 18 Memeber Squad for 5 Match T20I Series against West Indies which will start form 29th July after Conclusion of ODI series.
Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal has been rested for the series, They are currently part of ODI Team against England.
Ravichandran Ashwin is back in squad, he is named in the squad after November 2021 when Team India played 3 Match T20I series against New Zealand at home. He is also part of World Cup 2021 Squad.
Rohit Sharma who has been rested for ODI series is now back in the T20I series and will Lead Team India.
KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav also part of the squad but BCCI made it clear that their Participation will be decide on their Fitness.
Umran Malik has been dropped from the Team after his below par performance in the Ireland and England T20I series.
Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan retained their Spots alongside with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel. Mahommad Shami was not also part of the squad. It seems like he is not in the scheme for T20 World Cup.
The Rest of Squad features expected names. Ishan Kishan, Surya Kumar Yadav and Deepak Hooda are in the Team. Shreyas Iyer also Retained his spot.
Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant who are Rested for ODI series are back in the T20I Squad.
Ravi Bishnoi also included in the team alongside with other spinners like Axar Pateo and Ravindra Jadeja.
