India captain Rohit Sharma opened up about the five-match Test series win over England. He said that he doesn’t have the words to describe the win as the team was put through various challenges and the young players put their hands up in tough times.
India registered a terrific series win over England in the five-match Test series. The team was jolted earlier when Virat Kohli opted out of the series due to personal reasons. If this was not enough, KL Rahul then got injured and also Ravindra Jadeja missed one game due to the injury.
With plenty of inexperience in the team, not many gave the Indian team a chance to win the series, especially after losing the first game. However, the way they made a comeback was something to cherish, and was applauded by many for the way they played.
Rohit Sharma couldn’t put the series win against England in words. He pointed out how the young players put their hands up and helped the team win the game. Speaking in a video posted by the BCCI, he explained:
“I don’t have words to describe this particular Team we have at this point i timr. Different challenges, different Test matches and people put their hands up and got us through the line.”

“Putting everything into one case, it’s a very very memorable series win. On a personal front, how I have been able to go through a lot of emotions and also skill upgradation. Pretty old, 37 now, but I’m still eager to upgrade my skills.”
Kuldeep Yadav highlighted how it has been a complete circle for him as he started his journey from Dharamshala. He expressed his delight in his series win and stated:
“I started my journey from here, I played my first international game in Dharamshala and then to perform here and the make team win was very important. I’m happy with it and hopefully everything works the same way.”
