Pragyan Ojha heaps praise on Dhruv Jurel
Pragyan Ojha said to Cricbuzz, “See, Dhruv Jurel played an excellent innings, he showed that stability, he showed confidence, which we were talking about again and again why body language is important. Now you will see that when he came to bat, the strike was rotating, hence the runs which had stopped, the scoreboard started moving.”
“The way Shubman Gill batted, when you come to bat at number 3, it is not so easy when your partners keep getting out, you have to handle yourself, handle that pressure on top of that and take the game forward. It is not so easy but showed it by playing a mature innings. Gill kept running the scoreboard because he knew there was only one way India could win this match.”
Prayan Ojha agreed with the decision and stated that the knock he played in the first innings helped India register a win. He added that it never looked like he was feeling the pressure or was tied up in the opposition’s tactics and ended up playing a mature innings.
Pragyan Ojha said, “Yes absolutely, there is no doubt because it is because of his innings that India has reached here. Leave aside the second innings, he scored 90 runs in the first innings and took India out of a very big trouble. He batted brilliantly and after that he showed maturity in the second innings. It did not seem that he was feeling pressure, it did not seem that he was bound by the strategy that was being seen in front of him.
“That little bit of that confident footwork, the confident manner in which he responded to those in front. This is your second match so it is not so easy but it shows that while you are learning, you have kept a lot in mind as to how you will have to handle different situations.”
