The 22-year-old Bangladesh uncapped opener, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, has been garnering a lot of attention with his performances. Hasan has been compared with 34-year-old Tamim Iqbal, and that is not just because of their names. Tanzid’s playstyle is quite similar to that of Iqbal in his younger days.
“This is my nickname (Tamim); I am hearing this from the start of my career (comparison with Tamim Iqbal), and to be honest, I have grown up seeing him play and got inspiration from him. I have seen him a lot in my childhood, and he is an idol. I try to learn a lot of things from him, and whenever I meet him, we talk a lot. If you talk about the expectation of pressure (replacing Tamim Iqbal), I feel we are professional cricketers, and cricket is a game of pressure. The quicker I learn to adapt, the better I will perform,” Hasan was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

“Every cricketer will have good and bad times, and we have to accept it, but how we can make a turnaround is important, and I tried to do that by talking with different coaches and working on minimizing my flaws, which helped me get back into runs,” Tanzid concluded.
